PHARMACY DISPENSER (2).

QUALIFICATION;

Must have a certificate/diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution.

Proficient computer and keyboard skills.

EXPERIENCE;

At least 2 years experience working within the healthcare facility.

Experience in working under indirect supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

Preparation, dispensing of prescriptions and stock control, ordering, and re-stocking of the dispensary.

To cross-check the prescriptions and consult or communicate whenever there is doubt about the appropriateness of an item, a dose of a drug, or labeling instructions.

Operation of efficient stock control appropriate to the needs of the dispensary.

Ensuring the drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner, in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.

Using a computer to keep records up to date.

Handling controlled drugs.

Politely communicating with the patients, handing out prescriptions to patients or their representatives, and checking the patients’ names.

Perform other duties as instructed.

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST (1)

QUALIFICATIONS;

Must have a certificate/diploma in administration.

Proficient computer and keyboard skills.

Fluent in the English language, Multilingual is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE;

At least 2(two years) experience working in a health care facility.

Working knowledge of medical terminology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answers inquiries.

Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone as directed by the clinician/doctor.

Keeps patient’s appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patients’ arrival, and reviewing service delivery compared to the schedule.

To ensure proper documentation of required patient information and prompt communication.

Comforting patients with anxiety, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.

Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.

Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.

Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (2)

QUALIFICATIONS;

Must have a diploma in medical laboratory technology.

Proficient in computer and keyboard skills.

Ability to work with modern laboratory equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.)

Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings.

Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions

Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility

Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.

 Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.

Perform other related duties as required.

RADIOGRAPHER (1)

QUALIFICATIONS;

Must have a Degree/Diploma in Medical radiography/Imaging from a recognized institution.

Must be registered and licensed with Allied Health Professionals Council.

Proficient computer and keyboard skills.

EXPERIENCE;

At least 5(five) years of working experience in active health care settings.

Experience in information management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

To perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients and produce high-quality images.

To assess patients and their clinical requirements to work out which radiographic technique to use.

Take responsibility for radiation safety in your work area, including checking equipment malfunction and errors.

To participate in quality assurance tests on the equipment.

Manage and ensure the ALARA principle, (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).

Help in more complex radiological examinations by working with doctors such as radiologists and surgeons.

Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionizing radiation, and regulations, to protect oneself and others.

Perform other related duties as required.

GENERAL NURSES (2)

QUALIFICATIONS;

Must have a diploma in nursing from the approved nursing program.

Must have a current license offered by the Ugandan nursing board.

A certificate in counseling is of added advantage.

EXPERIENCE;

At least (2) two years experience working in an active health care setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure comprehensive nursing care plans for patients

To administer treatments and medications prescribed by the clinician/doctor.

To ensure close monitoring of patients’ symptoms and report changes in patient status

Maintain complete and accurate patient records

Prepare patients and assist with patient examinations and therapies.

Advise patients on health maintenance and preventative medicine

Provide educational, emotional, and psychological support to patients and family members

Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations

Adhere to infection-control protocols

To follow medication administration and storage procedures and regulations.

To remain flexible and perform other duties as required.

MIDWIVES (2)

QUALIFICATIONS;

Must have a diploma in midwifery from a recognized institution.

Must be registered and licensed with the nurses and midwives council.

A certificate in counseling is of added advantage.

EXPERIENCE;

At least (2) two years experience working in an active health care setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

Providing comprehensive antenatal care, which includes screening tests, identifying high-risk pregnancies, and postnatal care.

Overseeing registration of the patients’ admissions, discharges, and recording deaths.

Close monitoring of the labor ward, by providing care to the mothers in different stages of the labor, keeping proper records, use of drugs, and preventing complications for the mother and the baby.

Conduct deliveries on her own and care for the newborn infant.

Ability to manage complications in pregnancy and childbirth, by the principles of basic emergency obstetric care.

To give support and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breastfeeding, bathing, and making up feeds.

To provide HIV/AIDS care to the patients, including counseling, eMTCT clinics, EID, and HAART services.

To ensure infection prevention and control is implemented according to the MoH guidelines.

To conduct monthly requisitions and inventory in maternity and submit reports.

To participate in any other activity as directed by the supervisor.
